I don't know exactly where Jagar is from. USA for sure. Since he was one of the early models and there are several sets shot outside, in the common spots used by modelteenz, I would say that he must probably have lived in the northeast (new england or new york state), perhaps very close to the photographer (Brattleboro, Vermont). There are other picture sets (better quality) with him at plymouthpictures.com (Plymouth, Michigan). One of these was apparently shot at ann arbor (also Michigan). But I think that it is not their home. I think that Jagar and all the close modelteenz models travel regularly from their homes near vermont to ann arbor for a big shooting there. Modelteenz, plymouth and tigerunderwear share many models which gives them all some legitimacy as talent agencies and reputable businesses with customers. The plymouth doctor conducts his business much more discreetly, perhaps doesn't even care about the business, only the pictures, which is a shame because he is much more talented than modelteenz. For a while, I even had this crazy suspicion that all the modelteenz sets shot outside (higher picture quality than for the studio sets) were in fact shot by the plymouth doctor. It is not just the quality of the pictures, but also the way the boys seem to react to the photographer(s): Bored and awkward in the studio, happy and playful when outside. It looks like two photographers: A strange guy using his lights to take awkward positions, and a more regular photographer just walking around in the street with the boys. As for the quality, yes, I've also thought the same about ModelTeenz pictures. Some great models, posing nicely but the quality of them in general is poor, certainly compared to many of the other studios sets. It's a real pity - I'd like them so much more if they were better. Jagar is from the Great Lakes area. Yes, I know that is kind of vague, but I don't want to give up too much of his personal information. Obviously, I am a big fan of his! And the Plymouth Pictures are really great...I just hate that big watermark. Also, the pictures aren't that big. But that photographer is an amateur, although he works with ModelTeenz a lot.

As for the parents, I think that they are mostly in it for the money, or the prospect of making a lot of money for their sons if he becomes a real model later. It's not just what they receive after a shoot but probably the promise of much more, the chance of becoming a modeling star. I think that most are from poor families. Another thing to keep in mind is that observing a photo shoot does not really gives an idea of what the pictures look like. Many parents said this before. They are sitting further away, they don't have the same point of view as the photog, they can't really understand the focus of the picture. According to their website on top of keeping 100% of the profits from the photosets which they sold from anywhere to $50-$150 each, they often charged the models to have their pictures taken. They also very rarely booked outside jobs for models they represented. I often wondered why any parent would agree to those conditions, but maybe there was an under the table agreement? Reading over the lawsuit it claims models were charged more if they posed nude (although the Modelteenz site claimed all shoots were non-pay?) and it also claimed some pictures were taken without adult consent, but the website claimed a guardian had to not only be present at all times, but also had the right to pre-approve all pictures taken, so who knows what actually went down. I'm always a little skeptical of parents who claim to have "no idea" what goes on at these photo shoots, especially when they also claim to have received extra money for nude pictures. It's a shame really, because for all the terrible flaws of the management they did have knack for picking out really great models. A lot of them could have gone on to have a career in modeling, of course being associated with Modelteenz isn't something they could put in their portfolio now and after this experience most of them probably want nothing to do with the industry.

Making a professional portfolio for an aspiring actor or model requires time, experience and expensive equipment. It is common to charge the model if the pictures are going to be used solely by the model. It is a difficult and important job to be able to make the most striking selling shots for an aspiring model. Of course, in this case, the photographer is using and selling the pics, so he was paying the models. There are also hybrid solutions where the model gets a smaller amount of money but retains the right to use some of the photos (but probably not the case here because you can see from the pics that the boys are not 100% clean and ready like a future model or actor would be. I think that you give too much importance to what was posted on themodelteenz website and which served as a cover more than a description of the reality. Of course, the guy wanted to pass as a talent photographer and so was discussing his studio as a way to create portfolios so the models would get jobs. Then he mentioned the posibility for models to get their portfolios for free (and even get compensated) if they were willing to let the photog sell the sets on the website. Keep in mind that this is just a pretext. This is how he justifies his business. In practice, it is clear that all his models were going for the cash. In the past, he had complex constructions with other people, in which madeup companies and friends were hiring some of these boys, giving the illusion that they were getting a job (like the diaper thing or the plymouth doctor) . Perhaps he was using this to lure some aspiring models, but I doubt that it was enough to motivate the kids. I suspect that most of them, and their parents, were in it for the cash. I doubt that the fact that any of the boys was adopted and thus changed legal guardians is irrelevant. Most probably the first guardians were enjoying the extra income, but things got more difficult with the next ones. Maybe a social worker following up on the adoption got suspicious. That's perhaps how they found out about the nude pics in the first place. In any case, read the article and affidavit again. It is clear that emerich was paying the boys for the pics, and not the opposite. I remember seeing somewhere that he paid them more for nude pics (which would be obvious anyway). This place was scamming law enforcement, but not the boys. Perhaps some parents, but certainly not the boys.

The pictures were taken over a long period of time, and the photographer owned several cameras. The most recent sets seem to be 1812x2736. But some of the oldest sets are barely 1000 pixels wide. Sean seems VERY happy to see us in all his photos which makes me laugh at Emmerich's claims that parents are always present for shoots. I have seen Ethan's set of photos. It is a huge archive of 2523 photos of Ethan. I think it was his first photo shoot. He is fully clothed in all of the photos, apart from some where he has taken off his shirt. Many poses are the same. I think the photographer had his camera set to multiple frames and forgot to take his finger off the button. You see in his eyes the beauty of youth, the allure of innocence and the sheer joy that comes from what must have been a new adventure for him. It is not the possibility of seeing him nude or even in underwear. These things are irrelevant, at least to me. It is the majesty of him being a new person on the planet and the great wonder that surrounds him. The potential of what he can be ..The chance that you may become part of his world is the greatest of privileges that can be given to us. If it is given to you then cherish it and love him as a person who wants to have a great modeling career and not simply someone with no chance to be succeful.

In my opinion Modeelteenz is a courageous person. Definitely, there isn't much money, if any, in this business. The overwhelming majority of modeling agencies working with children, and publishing houses, didn't give up their activity because of the intervention of the forces of law and order, but instead because they simply didn't manage getting enough customers to buy their products, to cover, at least, their costs. I guess the photographer is in it for the love of the art. I understand that. But he must know that any male taking photos of any kind of minors is going to invite suspicion from society, and often interest from the authorities or private individuals who are Antis. These photographers can be subject to stings or provocations from Antis designed to make them step over the line if they haven't already. I doubt there is much money in this business anyway.
